Imagine starting your week on a high note, with a sense of purpose, fulfilment, and the knowledge that you've made a significant difference in people's lives. As chairman of SAVSIM CIC, I recently had the privilege of experiencing such a Monday and I firmly believe that Mondays like this should be compulsory.
Our day began at the prestigious Foxhills Club & Resort, where CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) had held a charity golf fundraiser. Shahine Mardani of CBRE GWS had invited us to receive a generous donation resulting from their efforts.
Thanks to the remarkable dedication of Shahine Mardani and his team, we received a donation of £11,250.00 alongside two deserving organisations: the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and Macmillan Cancer Support.
At SAVSIM CIC, our mission is to deliver animal-assisted therapy courses in partnership with ZSL for groups of veterans. This generous donation will allow us to continue this critical work, providing therapeutic experiences that can bring comfort, healing, and a sense of connection for veterans.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Shahine Mardani and his amazing team for organising this event. I also want to express my gratitude to the CBRE GWS supply chain for their participation and support on the day.
