A foreword from our Chairman, Dr Joe Giordano on providing strategic security advice following an attack last week.
On Sunday evening I received this from one of the reserves SAVSIM SAVSIM CIC provides on going strategic security advice and ranger training in South Africa:
"Hi Joe, we are under attack again tonight. Shots were fired just after 20:00.
We will have dead rhinos tonight. But we hope their sacrifice will not be in vain".
The reserve has 230 rhino and his constantly fighting to prevent poaching and we are now engaging with our network to provide additional security towers, Infra Red Sensors and creating a safe enclosure called a "Boma" as well as continued ranger training support.
This is the real world!.
We continue to provide ranger training to all our reserves we support with new ones reaching out to us all the time and recently completed a 2 week program in South Africa delivering Dog training as an effective resource to prevent wildlife crime and poaching.
