SAVSIM CIC and Wild at Life e.V.: A Collaborative Triumph in Rhino Conservation

In the heart of the Limpopo region, a dedicated team of veterans from SAVSIM CIC recently joined forces with Wild at Life e.V. to spearhead a comprehensive rhino conservation programme. This ambitious initiative encompassed various crucial aspects, including de-horning, satellite collaring, and the extraction of rhino plasma.

Led by the commendable Chairman, Asli Han Gedik, and Andrew Marshall, MSc. (SRMC), the veterans' team worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the conservation efforts. Their involvement extended beyond the fieldwork, as they meticulously reviewed the security measures of the reserve and conducted thorough ranger training. The culmination of their efforts is encapsulated in a detailed report, complete with insightful recommendations for the future.

Chairman Asli Han Gedik expressed immense pride in the collaborative achievements of both SAVSIM CIC and Wild at Life e.V. The operational teams from both organisations played a pivotal role in translating the vision into reality, demonstrating exceptional dedication and skill.

Acknowledging the crucial role of donors and sponsors, Chairman Gedik emphasised the importance of their support in making the project a reality. Fundraising programmes organised by the organisations received generous contributions, enabling the successful execution of the rhino conservation programme.

This collaborative venture serves as a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved when like-minded organisations unite for a common cause. The blog post aims to shed light on the dedication of the veterans' team, the operational excellence of both organisations and the crucial role played by donors and sponsors in preserving the majestic rhino population.
