Chairman Talks: Welcoming a New Ambassador

Transparency in how we operate

Recently, I was asked a simple but important question by a prospective sponsor:

“How much does it cost to run the charity?”

As CEO of SAVSIM CIC, it was an easy one to answer.

Our only fixed monthly overhead is £28, which covers website hosting and email services. Every pound raised beyond that goes directly into delivering our Warriors of Hope programmes. These initiatives support veterans living with mental health challenges and PTSD, while also helping them transition their skills into meaningful conservation work.

Through our programmes, veterans contribute to wildlife protection efforts by training rangers, supporting ranger mental health programmes, delivering leadership development, conducting reserve security audits, assisting with crime scene investigations, and supporting forensic analysis and intelligence gathering. All of this work is delivered by volunteers who believe deeply in our mission.

A warm welcome to our new Ambassador

It is a real pleasure to welcome Kamile Spann as an Ambassador for SAVSIM CIC.

Kamile is a fashion entrepreneur, philanthropist, and author, with a strong track record of supporting charitable causes, including The Princess Grace Foundation and the Cauldwell Foundation. She is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and has a deep commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.

Her values strongly align with our own, and we are delighted to have her join us as an Ambassador. We look forward to supporting Kamile in this role and working together to further our shared goals of veteran wellbeing and wildlife conservation.

A shared commitment to giving back

Kamile recently spoke about her philanthropic work in an interview, where she reflected on the importance of using influence responsibly.

In the interview, she shared that she now serves as an ambassador for SAVSIM, alongside her support for a number of international charitable causes. As Kamile put it, “To me, influence without giving back is hollow.”

This recognition reflects the values Kamile brings to her ambassador role and why her involvement with SAVSIM feels such a strong and natural fit.
